Downtown
Occasionally an American town captures some of the feel of European sidewalk culture. This is of Lexington, MA, where I grew up. Years ago the plan was made to "save" the downtown from urbanization by putting in a wide, tree-lined, brick sidewalk. It was an unqualified success. I have spoken to people, on a number of occasions, who were moving to the Boston area from Europe, and have said they chose to live in Lexington just for this downtown/sidewalk area! They like living with it, and I hope will enjoy this this painting as well. It is an oil on canvas, 16x12", $2400 in gold leaf frame
